iOS app stopped syncing with desktop and web on October 19, 2026

I’ve found a temporary workaround: log into the web version on your phone browser, then add the link to the site to your phone homescreen as a shortcut. It’s not as clean or efficient as the app, but at least you can access your notes on the go until the app issue is resolved!

It doesn’t solve the issue, but even on mobile, the web browser still works. And let’s hope the team fixes the bug soon.

Will Simplenote PLEASE RESPOND!! Many of us DEPEND on Simplenote & now it suddenly doesn’t work in iOS. PLEASE JUST TELL US… we know it is no longer supported but is it now COMPLETELY DOWN? ***JUST TELL US SO WE CAN MOVE ON**** This was the GREATEST NOTES APP I EVER FOUND… I offered to pay for it & donated back when you accepted such… WHAT A SHAME. *** JUST TELL US WHETHER OR NOT iOS app will work again or NOT! *****PLEASE*****

Is there any precedent to suggest that they will fix the issue? I haven’t had any personal issues with the application for the years I have been using it.

There seems to be a few notes about they reducing the support gradually, on Reddit. It also may be connected with apple’s new iOS.

As was suggested above, the web versions seem to synchronize among different devices. It’s the app that doesn’t sync. So that’s a temporary workaround….

I had the same issue but it just all started working again for me. The Mac app and the iOS app is syncing again.
