Unable to access email associated with Simplenote account

My phone was severely damaged and I am unable to log onto the app. The email address used for the account was closed many years ago and I no longer have access to it. How can I retrieve my information in Simplenote

If you recall your password for Simplenote, may we have you sign in at https://app.simplenote.com? Then you can update your account information to an active email.
