Severe Problems Since Friday

None of my 4 devices are synching – (I have restarted apps and devices)
Some notes are going back historically
Some Pastes are duplicating
I logged into the web app and the A/Z order was off
I lost 2 hours of work yesterday.
I have done a temp switch of my important active notes to Apple Notes
I have used Simplenote for many years. This has been the worst interruption to normal stable service

Many users seem to be observing this – needs urgent investigation by SN.
As SN is currently unusable I have switched to Notion, which did a surprisingly good job of importing a SN text export. Maybe I’ll stick with it. SN’s intermittent unreliability combined with its poor sync conflict resolution (see multiple threads here on that one) and lack of recent development is making it increasingly unattractive. I’m losing faith.
A statement from Automattic on the future of SN and the level of support/maintenance that users can expect, given all of the above, would be welcome. (Yup, I know it’s free and we have no right to expect anything, but, y’know…)

I prefer Simplenote’s interface to all the other note taking apps, though my sync confidence is at an all time low.
It would be appreciated to get a comment on the issues of the last few days together with an indication of expected service levels in the future.

Pre-empting the question my devices are:
Macbook – Ventura – Latest update installed (Simplenote Mac App)
Macbook – Big Sure – Latest updates installed (Simplenote Mac App)
Ipad – IOS 16.6 – Latest – Updates installed
iPhone – IOS 16.6 – Latest updates installed
(Simplenote Web App – Also problematic, lost A/Z sort order)
***Device software and Simplenote app all latest version
***Devices and Simplenote have all been restarted multiple times

I also have sync issues. I currently have two notes in the web app where the sync icon has been spinning for over two hours.
Would love to hear an update from Automattic regarding the issues.

Hi, I’m also getting the duplication glitch, as well as syncing issues on my Galaxy A12 (Android 12).

Agreed, a note taking app with all the features I wanted was hard to find (free, sync between W10 and mobile, dark theme, task lists, export/import, etc) so I hope the devs see this and can fix it quickly.

I”m seeing the same issue (updating icon goes forever), but only on the app on pc. It seems ok if I use the website or the phone app.

Same distressing issues for me.
Windows app, Chrome & Edge on Windows, Samsung s23 ultra, Samsung s20+.
All latest software. Stable 100/20MBPS.
Logged out everywhere, cleared caches, backups, restarts, testing, etc etc. Yep, its broken.
Followed https://simplenote.com/help/#sync
Contacted (email visible only to moderators and staff). Just got the below standard reply (and no fix) which is disapointing having made a good financial donation.
