Server connection

I tried Opera, Microsoft Edge and Firefox. None of those browser are connecting.
The site is not availabe: “ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT”
This is not a temporary problem, because it started yesterday.
I hope you can fix it, because I love to use simple note!

They won’t fix it because they don’t accept they have a problem. Time to consider another app.

Update: I veryfied via an external support site if the website is reachable and yes it is. The site is only not accessible via my Notebook. On my mobile, I do not have any issues. So it seems it this is my PC. I am using Win 11 since a week. Any idea what I can do to check it or fix it?

Problem is partially solved! After I used VPN on my PC I could synchronise the notes (Thnx @pedagogia). After I switched of the VPN connection, I still can reach the site: https://simperium.com.

Simple note is not loading anything on web version or desktop version. I’m using Linuxmint and Firefox.
Only mobile app is working but not syncing anything.
What’s the wrong with Simplenote’s server?

Hi, I’m in the UK but I can’t connect to simperium.com from my home broadband but I can using my mobile phone. So it seems to be network dependent.

Hi, I’m in Malaysia and Simplenote web app and Android won’t sync. I could temporarily sync by running a VPN with Singapore server. https://simperium.com/dashboard/ couldn’t be accessed from Malaysia, but could be accessed and showed as “Online” from Singapore VPN server.

We’re not too sure what is causing our servers to be blocked, but our team is still conducting an investigation. So far, it seems like many are able to access Simplenote with a VPN or trying a different internet connection that isn’t blocking access to our servers. We recommend that as a workaround for now.

same here! simplenote is not working in my home wifi network, regardless if the device is notebook or phone. While using mobile network, simplenote work on both devices.
It all boils down to the device trying to access simperium.com. On home wifi, simperium.com website is not accessible. Yes, if my device connect via VPN, then simperium.com is accessable. I m from Singapore, and i set VPN country to Singapore, simperium.com is still accessable. So, it is not related to which country blocked access. -
Same here! On home wifi, simperium.com is not accessible. Both VPN and mobile internet solve the issue. I live in Armenia.

Hi all,
The server is working well on our end, so I recommend checking your network settings to troubleshoot this when you run into the issue again.
Since the issue seems somewhat tied to the home network for some of you (i.e., primarily affecting your home ISP), would you try checking your home network settings?
For example, if you’re using a router, you may try resetting it. Please see if your network has any sort of blocking or filtering installed on it as well. One example would be this: https://pi-hole.net
