No spell check is a showstopper for me. Consiider this a loud feature request.

  Hi,

  I love everything Simplenote has and even doesn’t have. The perfect cross platform note taking and memo writing platform, or so I thought.

  The way i use my note taking application require spell check, real time spell check. That’s just the way it works for me. I type in three languages and I’m not really native in any of them anymore so I need the help spell check offers.

  My main platform is Linux and I just can’t find a way to live with Simplenote as my daily note driver. So I am back to using Gedit on Linux and QuickEdit+ on Android. Notes are simple txt files and Google Drive is where it all lives. Not optimal but as good as it gets right now. and spell check is fast and reliable in both applications.

  I am hoping Simplenote will add spell check across platforms at some point. As soon as that happen I will be back as a very happy devoted user. I know many, including my wife and many of my colleagues do not use spell check nor autocorrect. I am addicted to both, in three different languages unfortunately.

  We have a tracking issue for it here (I’ve added your request):

  However, at this time there are no plans to implement this feature.
