My Simplenote works fine on my phone, but when I log in on my PC, it is a blank

Dear Support,
Dear support,
what could be the problem, and how do I resolve this. Please.

Hi. First, check that your notes are saved to the cloud. Do this by logging in to app.simplenote.com in a browser. You should see the same content that you saved on the phone.
If that’s OK, try logging out, then logging in using the PC Simplenote app. Be sure you’re using the same email as your phone account. If the app cannot see the data, you may have some firewall or security feature that is preventing the PC app from reaching the Simplenote servers.

Hi sheyefunminmy,
johnswift37’s advice above is a great first step. To add to it, here are a few things to try:
- Check if your notes are in the cloud – Log in at app.simplenote.com in a browser. If your notes appear there, the data is safe.
- Are you using the desktop app or the web app? If you’re using the desktop app, try uninstalling it, then reinstalling a fresh copy from simplenote.com. If the web app shows a blank page, try a different browser or clear your browser cache.
- Check for network blocks – Firewalls, VPNs, or ad-blockers can sometimes prevent Simplenote from connecting to its servers. If you’re on a managed network (office, school), the network may be blocking access. Try adding these URLs to your allowlist:
https://app.simplenote.comhttps://api.simperium.comhttps://auth.simperium.com
- Log out and back in on the PC – this forces a fresh sync of all your notes from the server.
