Lost note — created May 21, edited daily, now missing

Hello, an eldery person was working on a note created on the May, 21, he edited it multiple times every day, until today it suddenly disappeared.
He cannot explain what exactly happened, but not there are 4 empty notes instead of the note he was working on.
There is nothing in Trash, also, all the empty notes have no history. This note was very important, a week of work of a man.

Folks, I would really appreciate your advice on what could have happened and the possible ways to recover the note. I’ve suggested this tool for an old man as a simpler alternative to Google Docs where he got lost with tons of unnecessary functions. But I expected it to be as reliable as Google Docs in terms of not having any single chance to lose the work if you just press some random button.
When he told me, that the work disappeared, I told him to not worry, I’ll now quickly recover it from the history, but it appeared that I wasn’t able to find anything, neither in history, nor in Archive…. -

I’ve taken a look at the account from our end, and I can see that there are at least 2 notes stored on the account. That’s a good sign, as it means the data hasn’t been permanently lost.
Are you using the mobile or desktop app? If so, could you please try logging in to the web app at app.simplenote.com and let us know what you see there?
This can help us figure out whether this is a sync issue with the device or something else.
