Guest Login Credentials

  Hi,

  Whenever we create a signup, can you please create guest login credentials or allow us to create guest login credentials. Guest can view, search and do everything except edit or delete the notes or notes collection

  Could you share with us a bit more about what you had in mind for this? Would this guest login feature be something that would be used with the Collaborate feature? So that others could view and edit a note without having to have a Simplenote account?

  I will note, Simplenote does offer a Publish feature, which would allow others to simply view a note from within their web browser. And that doesn’t require a Simplenote account to view the link.

  Notes published in this way, though, are public. So anyone that had the link would be able to view it.

  option #1 – guest login where collaborator can view and CANNOT edit or delete with having a simplenote account

  option #2 – guest login where collaborator can view and CANNOT edit or delete without having a simplenote account via public URL

  If both are available, it would be great…Also in both cases, search and advanced should exist as like normal users

  No ETA has been set for this, @javadev2025. Depending on your particular use case, however, you might want to consider the upcoming Shared Journals feature from another product that’s also built by our parent company.
