[Windows] Unable to paste using right-click in version 2.23.2
-
Since upgrading to Windows version 2.23.2, using the right-click context menu Paste command has no effect and does not paste the clipboard contents. Ctrl-V and the Edit > Paste menu command both work as expected.
I see the same issue in Windows 10 (22H2 build 19045.5608) and Windows 11 (24H2 build 26100.3476).

Just noticed this today as well on W10 machine.
Ctrl +V doesn’t work for me. I can drag selected text to the simplenote icon in the taskbar….it then opens and pastes. Sort of a sloppy work around for now.
Hope the problem is solved soon.

The right-click menu is completely non-functional – grayed-out. I’m in Win11. I can paste from the Edit menu, which is cumbersome. I use right-click copy/paste a lot in Simplenote, for tracking numbers in current orders. This is new within the last couple of days. Please fix this, Simplenote people! We’re depending on you and this really has been the best note app for all my purposes.

Hi, @abboston1f76ab0be8, @andrapicincu, @rupertmeltdown, and @psanitymt! I was able to replicate your issue, and I’ve created a report for it so the developers can look into it further. We’ll keep you updated as soon as we know more.

Im also having this issue. When using Win10, Simplenote Vers. 2.23.2.
When I copy any text from my PC and right click into Simplenote, nothing happens, however if I right click and paste into another app (Word/Excel/notes app) it works.
I can control V into Simplenote and that pastes into Simplenote.

It appears that our team did make a fix for this, but it has not been released as yet. Once we publish our next update to the app, the fix should be included :)
