Web version do not synchronize with Android app

    I tried changing password, logging in and out, all of these didn’t work.

    yeah same issue but the android app doesnot synchorize with windows or web. I have tried reinstalling changing password and stuff but still not synching my mobile android notes to the server.

    It doesn’t work either way, Android doesn’t sync with web and vice versa.

  • @feeltdiff @azankhaliq88 Could you both kindly confirm if you can still log in to both the Android app and the web app at https://app.simplenote.com/ using the same account? Once you’ve logged in with the same account, do you notice that the notes aren’t syncing with each other?

    Also, did either of you change your Simplenote account email address at some point?

    Yes, I can login into the web app and windows app with the same email and password and they are synching notes to each other.

    Only the android app is the problem. First, I cannot login with the same email and password, it gives error “Could not login with the provided email address and password”. I also tried to login with other accounts with different email and password and got the same error.

    Then I tried to login with WordPress account (has the same email address as my main account) which takes me to chrome to login and it logs in but does not synch notes and shows homepage with no notes.

    No, I have never changed my email address.

    • what Android devices you use Simplenote on
    • their operating systems and versions
    • the Simplenote versions on each

    @staff-fred I’m having the same issue. Android not syncing to web app. It has been so since somewhere between the 8th and the 15th of this month. The note I’d made on the 7th synced. The next note was on 15th. The note on the 15th and every note after that didn’t sync. Notes on android didn’t sync to web and those made on web didn’t sync to android.

    I happened to export the notes from android and imported them into the web app. It wound up creating duplicates of all my notes excluding the ones that had been unsynced from both sides. Is there a way to delete all notes from the web app in one go without having to do it one at time?

    I can reupload the synced ones and at least have it okay till you guys fix the issue.

  • Yes, I can confirm that we have a fix in the works. It seems like the issue affects Android devices with much older versions of Android
