Unreliable Cross-Platform Sync in Simplenote Leads to Critical Data Loss

The cross-platform synchronization feature of Simplenote is unreliable. I logged into my account on a MacBook Air and a Windows desktop. One pinned note is a journal, which is always open on my MacBook. After putting the MacBook to sleep by closing the lid, I continued editing the journal on my Windows PC. In such scenarios, when I wake the MacBook, the journal entries on the Windows side sometimes get overwritten by older versions synced from the MacBook, resulting in significant data loss. I have encountered this issue multiple times and typically attempted to recover data using the “undo” function. However, today I discovered that two days’ worth of journal entries(on 21st Jan. and 22nd Jan.) were permanently missing, which I believe is highly likely caused by synchronization conflicts. The Simplenote which is installed on my MacBook and PC is always the newest version.

This problem is unacceptable to me, and I have decided to stop using Simplenote’s cross-platform synchronization feature.
