Unable to receive verification code

Hi, I used to be a Simplenote user. Please note that the account I’m using now is a new account and is different from my previous one. I’m trying to log in again after a long time using my former email, but it’s asking me to verify with a code sent via email. The problem is that the email address I used back then no longer exists, so I can’t receive the verification code. It’s really disappointing to think I might never be able to see my old notes again. Is there any other way to lift the login restriction and regain access?

Hi. You may be able to login to the Simplenote web app, app.simplenote.com in a browser, using only your old password. On the first login page, select “Login manually”. If you have trouble with the captcha, I can help with that. Once you’re in, select Settings, Tools, Export and it will download a zip containing all your old notes. Then you can dig your old content out of the zip without sweating the login again.
