Unable to confirm an old email address to access my account
-
Hi,
After many years, I realised that the email that was used for my account is incorrectly written: [email redacted] (wrong double r) instead of [email redacted] .
Now that I would like to use web app of simplenote, I get a request to confirm the email address but it is not possible as the email address is incorrect.
Could you help ? -

How are emails not verified?!
The email address for my account has been used for years. Suddenly I need to re-login and cannot verify it because the email address was mistyped. I’ve even changed phones a number of times. I’ve never been required to re-login or verify anything. Now I cannot access my notes.
How can I get access to my notes?

Hi @pasaff68 @kerrigroleau 👋
Previously, account registration on Simplenote doesn’t require email verification. However, many users lost access to their accounts because they couldn’t receive a password reset email through the incorrect account email address. That is why we implemented an email verification process to make sure you have a chance to recover your account when necessary.
We don’t help with account-related issues in the forums for privacy and security measures. I’ve also redacted the email addresses shared in this post.
We’ll reach out to you via your forums profile registration email address to assist you there.
Thank you!
