  I just wanted to say thank you so much for this app! I would not have been able to make the switch from iOS to Android without it. I would be nice if the app could at least do underlining and bold, but I am super grateful for what it is. Thanks again!

  As for formatting text, the Simplenote app does support Markdown. And while this doesn’t include support for underlining text, you can use it for bold, italics, headings and more. You can find our documentation on what Markdown is supported in our Help Center.
