syncing broke my file

I’ve got a long note file with lots of tick boxes in it, and just now and last week it’s got garbled by Simplenote, which has gone and replaced lots of sections of 4 letters with – [x]
It hasn’t replaced consistent sets of letters, so I can’t fix it with a single find and replace.The last time it happened I was able to restore a recent version on my computer, but when I tried to look at the history in the Firefox version just now, it is showing that the previous file is from 11th June which is incorrect as I know I’ve edited it multiple times since then, and my phone can just about show me that I definitely have versions on 19th June but it keeps crashing when I try to load those older versions on my phone.
Just now I closed my computer browser and reopened it, and that brought back the history between 11th June and 21st but now it’s garbled: the history is now showing 11th June then 21st June then 19th June then 21st June, scrolling from left to right, so even the history itself has now got garbled.
So there are two bugs: first the bug that’s replacing random bits of text with – [x] and second the bug that’s failing to handle the history. And thirdly the bug that’s stopping the file from loading history properly on my phone without crashing, though that may be because it’s a really long note file, but if that’s the case then I’d like the system to warn me when the file gets too big, rather than invisibly failing.
