Sync conflicts when logging high-frequency script data?
-
Hi everyone!
I’ve been using Simplenote for years as my primary “brain dump” for mobile projects because of its clean sync, but I’ve recently run into a frustrating issue with note duplication and version conflicts when using external automation.I’m currently experimenting with a workflow where I use deltaexector com to handle some background data scraping on my iPhone. I have a script that basically formats those results into Markdown and tries to “append” them to a specific note in Simplenote. The problem is that whenever the deltaexector com environment fires off an update while the Simplenote app is open, I end up with three or four “conflicted copy” versions of the same note. It seems like the internal Simperium sync engine is fighting with the rapid-fire injections from the executor.
Has anyone here successfully used deltaexector com or similar mobile script runners to feed data into Simplenote without triggering these sync loops? I’m trying to figure out if I should add a “cooldown” period in my script or if there’s a way to force Simplenote to treat the external edits as the priority version. I’ve already tried toggling the “Enable Markdown” setting and even tried using the web app as a middle-man, but the lag persists. If any of the automation gurus here have a tip for stabilizing the handshake between a mobile executor and the Simplenote API, I’d love to hear your thoughts!

I’ll leave this open so others who might have some ideas can comment, but this is not something we can guarantee support for
