Sync
-
- Is it possible to upload my documents in .txt or .md format in my shared hosting server in a folder which can be publicly accessible and sync the files to my obsidian desktop app. Basically the sync should always happen with this one folder
- What are the different ways to sync a folder which is publicly accessible always via some setting or
configuration
-
the shared hosting server is godaddy or hostinger or blueshot – put all the files in a folder…..
example if the domain is abc.com
java tutorial .txt or .md files placed in abc.com/tutorials/java
Now i will give the above path in any config or any text box which needs to be provided by Joplin desktop version – to auto-sync – at regular intervals and with update option to do the sync manually to pull the changed files
a. auto-pull at specified frequency
b. update or pull button to manually pull or sync -

Hello @javadev2025,
There is not a way to do this at this time. Keep in mind, Simplenote is just that, a place to take simple notes. If you would like to share those notes with someone, you could collaborate or publish your notes. You could also export those notes into a folder to share with others.
-
the reason is colloborate or publish doesn’t have full text search with advanced search options like original user?
-
You should be able to search for the contents of a note that is shared with you as a collaborator, just as the original author. There is a different on some of our platforms as to how search works, though, which maybe what you’re seeing. If you have more details you can share about the device you’re using and screenshots of what the creator is seeing versus the collaborator, that will help to better investigate the issue.
-
you can search only ONE note and not ALL notes …..
Looking for sharing whole notes and search whole notes by any user -
Hi @javadev2025! I don’t understand what you mean by “you can search only ONE note and not ALL notes”. If you look at the search bar on https://app.simplenote.com/, it says
Search all notes and tags. Can you tell us what device you are using? Are you using the web app? Also, please send us some screenshots so we can see what you’re referring to.
-
Assume i have 1000 note….I want to share them all –> The end user should be able to search all the notes and rather than individual notes
-
@javadev2025 You might find it beneficial to create a website or blog to achieve this.
This way, you can post your “notes” on your blog. Then, your “end user” (i.e. site reader/visitor) can easily use the site’s search function.
How about considering a WordPress.com blog? If you have any more questions about setting up a site, feel free to consult the support guide or get in touch with the support team.
