Sort order on https://simplenote.com/ reverts to Modified:Newest

I’m using https://simplenote.com/ web site in Chrome on a Windows laptop.
The sort order for notes reverts to by Modified date every time I log in. I can change the sort order by going to Settings and choosing Alphabetical order, but it resets back to Modified Date the next time I go to the web site. Tried clearing browser cache and deleting cookies for simplenote, without success.
The sort order perseveres just fine on the Simplenote app on the iPhone, but not on the web site.
Anyone else seeing this? The problem seems to have started recently.

When you’re logged into the same account across multiple devices, please note that your Sort Order won’t sync. This means you might see a different sort order on each device or platform.
On the Web App, your sort order preference is stored in your browser’s local storage. This means you might occasionally lose your sort order preference. However, if you stay logged in on the same browser, it should keep your settings.

Try this please.
- log in to https://simplenote.com/ in Chrome on Windows
- set sort order to Alphabetical
- log out
- log back in. Order is reset to Modified Date.
Started happening recently. Was always staying as Alphabetical before.
