I have. I actually started with a new thread. No response to date. I don’t know what happened to support here or if simplenote.com is still in business or not, but their support used to have a much faster response time. Hours instead of days. -
The “server performance issues” we have all been experiencing have shaken all of us who use and love Simplenote to the core. Many of us have lost valuable information, but all of us must have lost faith in Simplenote. The support forum has been vague as the company sought to downplay the issue as a “performance” problem to them when in fact is was a catastrophic problem to all of us. Performance means slow not loss of data. It is clear to me that WordPress.com have kept a distance on purpose but their reputation is now in tatters too. Lots of us will have scrambled early-on to transfer our precious notes to Apple Notes or Standard Notes and we are looking for something from WordPress.com rather than the miserable amateur support on the Simplenote forum. WordPress need to decide if they want to continue with Simplenote and if they do, run it as a professional operation not an amateur side-line. Given the huge number of users, a small charge for a properly-funded reliable system and decent support would be to everyone’s benefit.

The more options the better on payment tiers. Simplenote is not my primary note taking app, but I appreciate the service and would gladly donate $1-$2/month.

I am not assured that the back end sync issues are fixed; I just had a days worth of notes overwritten and I don’t know how it could have happened with no other apps open on other devices. That’s slightly under ten hours of the desktop app being open and making changes while reliably connected to the internet and when closing it at the end of the day I received no warning about unsynchronized changes like I have in the past.
Fortunately I was able to find yesterdays notes in the history and I was able to roll back to something that looks like where I remember it yesterday. How did it get overwritten??
Simplenote sync conflict resolution is not up to par and if you want to claim a paid tier that’s nearly double the price of evernote this needs to be addressed.

hey guys are any of you aside from Scottjalbert here still experiencing sync issues? :/ I’d like to truly play it safe and know for sure that its fixed before continuing to use simplenote. Do inform me if any of you are.

As much as I have loved Simplenote, for 10 years +, especially the interface, limited bells and whistles and the design, I have decided to migrate to Apple Notes, at least for the next few months. Other than the severe issues of the last few weeks, for the last few years there has been periodic sync delays with Simplenote. Apple Notes does not miss a syncing beat.
The most important item for me is ‘Sync Security’ so there is almost no chance of losing your work. This is essential over anything else.

It is extremely concerning the apparent lack of interest (and updates) in the issues of the last week from Simplenote.
I would consider using Simplenote again after I review how the next months have been for the app.
I would consider paying for Simplenote if there was a reason which made it better than Apple Notes or other such apps.
