Simplenote not working on Android

  Hi there. Simplenote has stopped working on my Android phone. When I tap the icon the app tries to start then goes to the background. Tapping on that shows a message: “Something went wrong with Simplenote. Simplenote closed because this app has a bug”.
  I have tried uninstalling and re-installing. I have tried deleting the cache and the data and re-installing. It still does not work. Please help.

  Seems to have started working again so I’ll mark this as resolved for now.
