  Hello,

  I have a question:

  What can you tell me about the difference in Filesize between the version on the Mac App Store & the version on Github ?

  MacAppStore 2.21 = 4 Mb (According to Info on AppStore)

  (the following sizes are confirmed after download)

  Github 2.21 = 333,1 MB

  MacAppStore 2.19 = 8,1 MB

  Github 2.19.1 = 333,1 MB

  Github 2.19 = 333,1 MB

  The majority of the releases that are available through GitHub are based on Electron, whereas the Mac App Store version is built natively for macOS. The Electron builds will be larger than the native build because of the additional framework components of Electron.

  The Mac App Store version may also be different in size compared to the native Mac version available through GitHub because the App Store has a system in place to reduce application file sizes — by only downloading components relevant to your specific Mac, for example.
