Hello there,
Can you try logging in to the Simplenote web app from within a web browser?
Then, please check the notes from there to see if they are all correct and up to date.
If they are, you can safely log out and log back in to the Simplenote app on all your devices. When you log in again, all of the notes that are stored on the Simplenote service will be re-synced and that should resolve any syncing issues going forward.
If you aren’t seeing the correct notes in the web app or another Simplenote app, please let us know and we can continue troubleshooting from there. Please let us know:
- What devices you use Simplenote on
- Their operating systems and versions
- The Simplenote versions on each

I have the same issue.
I’m using Simplenote on my computer, and when I log in from a web browser the notes are correctly synced. However, they do not sync on my phone.
My phone is under Android 12. My computer is under macOS Ventura 13.4.1.
The Simplenote version on my phone is 2.27, the one on my computer is 2.18.

I am getting the same issue, notes partially sync or not at all, between the app, website and on my phone.
Windows 10, app version 2.21.0, Firefox 115.0.3 (64-bit)
Android app version 2.27 (157)

I’ve been having issues for days. What a relief to know it’s not just me!!! Hopefully, the great tech support people will correct the issue soon. I’ve been having to create new notes to sync updated info. I use Simplenote on 3 devices simultaneously. Usually, it works great, but when it glitches, it’s a big deal. I ended up logging out on all my devices and updating notes directly to the web app today. I copied and pasted everything into a new Pages document before logging back in. Eventually, the new note appeared on the devices, however, if I copy and paste the data from today’s note into the August note (some of my notes are daily and divided by month) the previously created note does not update. This has happened multiple times over the past few days.

Likewise; The Windows App Simplenote isn’t syncing any updated Notes to the Web or Mobile Notes.
Yesterday, one note wouldn’t appear to be in sync until after I exported the unsynchronised note. This hasn’t worked today.
Windows 10 App Simplenote v2.21.0

Mozilla Firefox v116.0.1 (64-bit) ok, but out of sync’ with the Windows App updates.
Google Chrome v115.0.5790.170 (64-bit) as above access ok, but as above out of sync’ with the Windows App updates.When adding the update via the Mozilla Web access yesterday the information within the same note was see to be duplicated on top of each other within the same Note viewed via the Mobile Simplenote App.
Today when updating a Simplenote via the Google Web App and the Mobile Phone App it is sync’d to the Windows App.
But the updates made via the Windows App are not being sync’d to the Web or Mobile Notes.
We will look forward to your feedback and updates.
It will be good to get back in sync’

Same here, notes I update in the web app are not synchronising (version 2.19.1, Chrome 115.0.5790.171, Windows 10). I started noticing this yesterday. The rotating arrows next to the note don’t stop spinning, and the update notes don’t appear in the app on my phone (version 2.27, Android 13).

Same Problem here, we try to sync with cintanotes, download works well but upload goes wrong.
When I add a now note in Edge it will load forever( rotating arrows), adding new notes with Firefox works.
Tried with Windows 10 and Windows 11

Same here. No syc and even worse: every time I add something to a note (important info), a few moments later it’s all gone. Not just once, but all night. Hours of research gone. Tried history but thats useless; it’s really gone. Not good.

We know that you don’t have a crystal ball or super natural way of seeing the future, but…
Has the Simplenote syncing issue been resolved?
And or are you able to estimate when the Simplenote App will be syncing across all platforms without any further issues?
A periodic update would be good for those of us that currently use Simplenote on a daily basis.

My sync issue is that I make changes to a note and they rotating sync icon spins, and never stops. Syncs don’t happen. I can copy the whole note into a new note and often that will sync fine. Then I erase the still syncing note.
This happens on the Windows app and in Chrome on Windows.

UPDATE WITH MAC PERFORMANCE NOTE AT BASE

This happens on the Windows app and in Chrome on Windows. Syncing on my iPhone SimpleNote app works fine and syncs to Windows app and web just fine.

Same issue across Firefox browser, Windows desktop, and Android app. All are having problems syncing lately, including partial syncs that basically ruin the note or infinite spinning icon

It is implied that the Simplenote issues that we have been having are now resolved, but then further posts contradict this.
Can we please have some assurance from the Simplenote Support Team and others that the Simplenote device and account sync’ issues have been resolved?

Hi @dc4wpress. Simplenote has been working fine for me since the fix was reported. You should try it for yourself, and report back if you still see problems. That’s the only way the devs can be sure it’s working.

The issues we saw earlier with our sync servers should now be resolved. If you’re still having trouble I recommend you try the following:
- Export your notes (or copy the notes to somewhere if only a few not syncing)
- Sign out and back into the app
If you continue to have trouble after those steps do let us know.
