  Hey. I’ve got an idea:

  Sometimes I share notes from here to people who haven’t heard of Simplenote.

  And I just thought about this: If someone you don’t know sends you a strange link, you probably wouldn’t open it. This might be the case with the simp.ly/ link.

  So my solution is fixing the Google results for keywords like “is simp ly safe”. A simple Quora ask thread might do the job. No need for crazy SEO investments.

  But I believe this might be helpful for instances where you send notes to others you don’t really know (an online business pitching setting, for example), and they won’t open it due to safety concerns.

  I also wondered why there is no Facebook page of Simplenote. Maybe you guys don’t need that, but it’s strange not to have any social media pressence.

  This is the best note taking app, in my opinion. I love it.

  Thanks for the suggestion, that’s a good point that people might not know what the link is. We can certainly add something about this in our own documentation so that it will hopefully come up if people search for it. I’ve made a note for us to get that added when we can.
