Significant text appearing lag (several seconds) afte switching languages on Mac

  After switching a language and start typing, it takes several seconds for a text to start appearing on the screen.

  I haven’t been able to replicate the issue on my end. To help us better understand the problem, please provide a detailed description of the steps you take to reproduce the issue, including the specific language you’re switching to.

  How I replicate it:

  • start Simplenote
  • create new note. (works in old notes too)
  • Start typing in english
  • Switch language to Russian
    • lag…. text appears a second after it was actually typed in
  • Switch back to english.
  • Start typing again without any lags
  • Switch language to Russian
    • lag…. text appears a second after it was actually typed in

  Thank you for sharing those steps with us! Do you find that this only occurs if you start typing before switching languages?

  If you switch languages before you start editing a note, do you find that the lag occurs then as well?

    • Yep. Switching language causes lag even if nothing was typed before that.

    • No lag: alt-tab to sublime text -> switch language -> alt-tab to Simple Note -> start typing
