SHOWSTOPPER for Android 14

Android app freezes each time when installed on Android 14.
Using last version of Simplenote till now, 2.30.
Android OS is up to date.
The issue has been reproduced for about 1 month. Maybe it use to be all the time on android 14.
The app freezes just 1 or 2 seconds after the app is started. Android offers me to kill it or wait.
I had only one successful use of the app – just after its install.
A hint. I guess your team tested only first start of the app and decided the application runs fine. Just be sure you kill the app and try to run it again. -
The issue with the latest Android 14 update has been reported to our developers. It will likely take some time to address this particular issue, which unfortunately I don’t have an exact timeframe on.

Android 14 is released more than 3 months ago.
So more than 3 months Simplenote is not working. 3 months it cannot start. 3 months it hangs up. 3 months it is not usable at all. Nothing in app is working.
I see Automattic teams decided not to test Simplenote with last version of Android.
You just ignored all these reports with Android 14 for last 3 months.
I assume these are quality standards Automattic applies for its product range, even Simple ones? -
@rahulkumar8c417e4ebe It seems this issue isn’t occurring or noticed on all devices at first, making it a bit challenging to replicate and solve.
However, we’re happy to share that we finally have a fix ready. We’re now preparing to release a new version to address this issue. While you’re waiting, would you be interested in testing out the beta version?
