Should not allow people enter simplenote by Android system fingerprint

  1. Android app has the lock function, when set password, screenshot will be disabled. So I set a password, but when I start the app, I can enter simplenote app by system fingerprint without my password, I think that’s not right, the Authority is not the same. android has independent password and fingerprint, that belongs to android system itself, it’s not business of the simplenote app, the password for simplenote is independent, should not allow people enter simplenote by system fingerprint.
  2. Post the topic on this forum should by the account of simplenote, why need me to login in it by another wordpress account, I think it does not make sense.

  Hi.

  1. In the iOS app, Touch ID is an option in the Simplenote app Settings. Could you check whether it’s the same on Android?
  2. Using the Simplenote login would require accessing accounts on the cloud servers where Simplenote data is stored. This would need to come from the WordPress servers hosting this forum, and would be a big security hole. A separate account seems a reasonable solution.
