Server connection

@staff-bluejay. Respectfully, the intermittent nature of this problem, and the wide spread of it over the last few months doesn’t seem to indicate a local network problem. Clearly, the server is working fine. I suspect the problem is in routing. Different internet providers, even in the same area, experience different routes. I’ve noticed that there are different locations where other networks (like twelve99) connect to the Automattic system. I wonder if the glitch may be occurring at those bridge points.

Same problem here. Cannot sync in Brazil, tried different DNS. If I try with a VPN connected to the US, it works.

It’s helpful to know that using a VPN connected to the US resolves it for you.
This seems similar to an issue we’re currently tracking down. While I can’t guarantee a timeframe for a fix right now, you could try connecting your device to a different network connection (like mobile data if you’re on Wi-Fi, or vice versa) Also, restarting your Wi-Fi modem to get a new IP address from your ISP might help temporarily.
