Server connection on wired network is not working

Says, “Simplenote hasn’t connected with the server for a while, changes my not be synchronized with the server until the connection improves.”
The computer is old and has no wireless connection at all. Dates back to about 2014. No other app has the problem – not Quicken / Turbotax / WordPress etc… Running Win10 with all updates. Network is cable through Xfinity. Speed in 500+ mbps.

How do I fix this?

Have you tried accessing the server through the Simplenote web app, app.simplenote.com? Also, can you check the version of the app you’re using (bottom of the Help menu)?

Yes. There is no problem with this. It’s only on the Windows app that has the problem. app.simplenote.com is synced to my iphone

What’s the version of the Simplenote Windows app you have on the device?
Given that it’s an old machine, I wonder if you’re still able to get and run the latest app version on it.
