Self deleting notes

The notes keep on self deleting and it appears after it its reinstalled but after 4-5 seconds the note appears as new note, like all of a sudden the note gets deleted. all my hard work was gone just like that. please help !!! And when the note appears for like fraction of seconds the content which i added the last few months were missing and im very sure it got sinced . Plus when i get into the note and then immediately turn off the data network it stays but the content i added the last 3- 4 months are missing . And when i tun on the network data the entire note dissapears . I used to use this app for more than 3 yrs and havnt encountered such a problem and im pretty disappointed that this happened.

Hmm. Do you access this Simplenote account from any other device/computer, etc.?
Are you doing anything special with the time settings on your android device? It sounds as if your device thinks the Simplenote data is more current than the data on your device.

What might be happening here is related to how Simplenote handles syncing between devices. The note history slider doesn’t always display records in chronological order because sync timing can affect how changes are stored. For example:
- If you make a change on Device A while offline (say at 00:00), that edit won’t sync immediately.
- Then, if you edit the same note on Device B at 00:30 while online, those changes sync successfully to our servers.
- Later, when Device A reconnects, its unsynced version (from 00:00) uploads and overwrites the newer version from 00:30.
This might be why your note suddenly reverted or deleted content, but it’s actually an earlier version overwriting the newer one.
To check if your older content still exists, try searching the history in Simplenote. To search the history, open a note and click the ellipsis icon (︙) at the top, then select History. Then move the slider to view past revisions. You might find a version with your missing content there.

okay. But its not showing there either. And i only use simple note from my phone. I dont access my notes through any other device. Is this any kind of glitch?

I just tested this on my end using the latest version of Simplenote on a Samsung Galaxy S23 (Android 16), but I wasn’t able to reproduce the issue — notes are syncing and persisting correctly after closing and reopening the app.
Here are a few steps you can try:
- Go to your device Settings → Apps → Simplenote → Force Stop, then reopen the app.
- Simplenote relies on a stable connection to sync. Try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data to see if the issue persists.
- Tap the menu → Settings → Log out, then sign back in with the same email address you’ve been using. This will force a fresh sync from the server.
- Log in at https://app.simplenote.com after signing out/in — if the missing notes still don’t appear there, they likely weren’t synced to our servers before deletion.
If you’re still seeing the issue after that, could you please confirm whether you’re using any VPN, battery saver or restriction settings?
