Request for a Simplified Chinese Language Option

I would like to see a Simplified Chinese language option added to the desktop version of Simplenote, as it would greatly benefit many Chinese users who enjoy using the app. While the English words in the interface aren’t particularly difficult, native Chinese speakers often face efficiency issues, as they need to mentally translate English terms into Chinese before taking action. This can slow down their experience, and a Simplified Chinese option would make the app more accessible and user-friendly for them.
I’ve noticed in previous issues that other users have requested Chinese language support, but those requests were closed with a response indicating it was “already in the planning stages.” However, a Chinese language option has yet to be implemented. Understanding that your team might be busy or short on resources—and that your developers may not speak Chinese—I’d be happy to assist with the translation myself, as it’s my native language. I can start helping immediately. To make the process smooth, please let me know how you’d prefer me to contribute. For example, you could share an Excel spreadsheet with the current English text in the first column, and I’ll provide the Simplified Chinese translations in the second column. I’m eager to help bring this feature to life!
