Publish a note is equivalent to Google doc share with anyone right?

  The feature name “publish” is a bit confusing for me. May I clarify that if I publish but did not share the link to anyone, then no one will be able to search the content on Internet right? i.e. the feature is just same as share with anyone Google doc feature.

  Cos the “publish” name is a bit like publishing on web..

  Yes, if you publish a note but don’t share the link with anyone, no one will be able to find it or search for it on the internet. The only way someone can view it is if they have the exact link.
