Problem clicking on “Internal Link”
-
First of all, I’m a BIG fan of SimpleNote… been using it for a long long time. It’s WAY better than Apple Notes.
Onward:
Whether I use the SimpleNote on the ‘net of via the app on my MacBook Pro, I can no longer Copy Internal Link and click to its destination.
When I click any of these Internal Links, nothing happens.
Any ideas for a fix?

One more thing… the “Edit” function here isn’t working… it instead displays: “You cannot create new topics.”
I wanted to fix a minor typo in my post above.

Hi @nh8mnvpqzn👋 Thanks for reaching out and for your kind words!
Whether I use the SimpleNote on the ‘net of via the app on my MacBook Pro, I can no longer Copy Internal Link and click to its destination.
I tried clicking the internal links in both the web app (https://app.simplenote.com) and the Mac app, and it worked for me.
I have a few questions for you:
- If you typically use one browser, can you try if you can Cmd + Click the internal link to access the note with another browser?
- Can you please double-check if the note still exist under the account? If the note was deleted, then the internal link won’t work.
- Can you please share your browser version, OS version, and also the Mac app version?
Thanks!

That worked. By first holding down the Command key and then clicking, it arrived at my hyperlinked note.
I don’t remember having to hold down the Command key. Is this new/is this the proper way to do it?

I’m glad to hear Command + Click worked for you! That is the proper way internal links work in the web app, and it necessary to use the Command key to follow them
