Ordered list with number cannot be created

  To create ordered list with number, add line items with number followed by period and space. I tried this in my iphone iOS 16 Apps but it doesn’t work. Please help and advice what to do to make the list.

  I believe that’s what you do to create a numbered list in Markdown, i.e. you type lines with numbers and they will be formatted as numbered paragraphs. Simplenote automatically creates an unordered list if a line starts with a dash or bullet. But there’s no automated numbered list. Could be a useful feature.

  @johnswift37 is right. Unlike the unordered list, the numbered list will not automatically continue the number when you press the return key.
   
  With that said, I have added this request to our feature request list. We cannot guarantee if, or when we may add something like this but rest assured, it’s on our radar now.
