Older version history is gone

A note shows that it was created January 12, but only the history for today is shown. How do I recover it? It’s not a duplicate. My iPhone and iPad are syncing.

To retrieve what might have been removed, you can start by checking the note history, where you should be able to view previous versions of a note. Make sure to check the history of any blank or duplicate notes that you can see. Most of the time, you’ll find your missing content there. If you can’t find the note in the history, try checking the Trash folder and restore the note from there. Notes that are deleted but are still in the Trash retain their version history.
