nvAlt login and sync fails

I use the Simplenote app on iOS and the nvAlt app on MacOS Ventura 13.2.1. Recently Simplenote login and sync fails when using nvAlt app. I tried resetting the password on the Simplenote website and was able to login using the Simplenote app on iOS but no success with the Simplenote login and sync when using nvAlt app. Did something change? Is the nvAlt app no longer supported?

Does this problem still exist in July 2024? I am still unable to sync nvAlt with Simplenote.

@v3bac4a36de7cf1 Are you able to login to your Simplenote account through the official Simplenote apps?
Have you also tried logging in from the web app https://app.simplenote.com/? Does it work for you?

i appear to have the same problem: i just installed mac osx tahoe fresh; and whilst i can log onto the simplenote website, i cannot get nvalt to ‘synchronize with simplenote’ – it just shows a red circle with the message ‘incorrect login and password’ even though i’ve triple checked the creds.

I made the original post to this thread. FYI I never got nvAlt working and now I use the Simplenote app v2.23.2 available on the Mac App Store.

@yee379 – I would suggest doing the same, we recommend using our official macOS app for now.
