Multiple occurrence of searched phrase in note

suppose one of the note have multiple occurrence of word deodorant, when I search the word it shows only one occurrence in search result, upon tapping on the result it opens the note showing the searched word but it have no indication of other occurrences in the same note (for instance, in MS word you see yellow marks on the scroll bar).

Alternately all occurrences of searched word in a note can be shown in search result, (for example if Note 1 have three occurrence of searched word “deodorant” and Note 2 have one occurrence of searched word “deodorant” then the search result shows a total of four entries, three from Note 1 and one from Note 2)

    Thankyou

Hi. I believe that what you describe is already available in Simplenote. When you open the searched note, you see small blue bars along the right border. Each of those shows the relative position of an occurrence of the searched string, treating the screen height as a “scroll bar” representing the length of the note. You can tap on those bars to jump directly to each occurrence. Also, the bottom of the note shows the number of occurrences, with “< >” arrows to move between them. These features work the same way in the Simplenote app on iOS, and in the Simplenote web app in a browser.

Hi, i have checked and this blue mark that you are saying along the vertical scroll is not shown on my device. Although, when i manually scroll down, i see the other occurrences of searched text highlighted in blue. I have also checked in white theme, same result. Also these “< >” and number of occurrence are not there.

    Device: Android

    simplenote version 2.37

That sounds like a limitation of the Android implementation then. Is your device a Samsung? There have been various compatibility problems with Samsung phones. Anyway, as you can read here, Simplenote is in a stabilization phase, so big improvements are not likely to appear. You can always login to app.simplenote.com in a browser when you really need this capability.
