multiple duplicate notes

I think this just started in the past couple days, on both iPad and Android.
I start typing a note (new or on existing), the cursor suddenly jumps higher up or to the title, and I end up with 3 or more (or 20?) copies of the same note that all look like a cat typed them. Whether the jumping and multiple copies are related, I don’t know.
I tried clearing the cache of the Android app, but it didn’t help. The same thing just happened in iPad app, and I don’t have time to clean these notes up, and cleaning it up only seems to compound it more.
Haven’t tried duplicating the issue on W-11 laptop.
I rely on SimpleNote for a lot. Any suggestions?

I’m having a very similar issue to this, and it’s only started happening to me over the past couple of days.
I have the app on my Samsung S23 Ultra, Samsung Tab S7, and on both my work and personal laptops. All devices are running the latest versions and I’ve even uninstalled and reinstalled on all devices today to see if that solves it (it hasn’t)
I’ve been using Simplenote for the past 6 months with no problems at all, but im now getting this duplicate glitch. My phone seems to have no issues with new notes so long as i do all my editing on my phone. When i go to other devices they seem to update more of less fine, but when i try to edit the notes on those other devices, that’s when it seems to not sync properly.
And on a few occasions now when it finally syncs, it makes several duplicates
The whole thing has suddenly become a mess and I have no idea why, I’ll have to move to another platform if it doesn’t get resolved -
Hate to say it, but I’m seeing some text-management weirdness also, possibly correlated with updating to iPadOS 16.6 (from the previous 16.5.1(c)). When I select text, do a cut, then switch to another note, the cut text is randomly pasted into the previous note, possibly multiple times. I was sort of ignoring it, but I’ll try to come up with a repeatable example.

I have been experiencing same issue since about Aug 4. It happened once before a couple of years ago. I am on a Galaxy 10 fully updated app and OS. I keep a Simplenote for each week’s tasks, added this bug issue with link, and viola – while I was composing this post Simplenote generated the following:

Quick follow up with some other symptoms that may be related to this Dupe Glitch
1. On the Android app, I have seen instances in which I have added to a Note and returned to the Note to find that data is not saved
2. Seen on both W-11 app: Notes that have edits or updates then sync to server, but the server a. never gets the edits and b. never stops syncing – the circle never stops as seen below. All this is concurrent with the Dupe Glitch

The Simplenote servers are having some performance issues. This impacts sync, so characters are duplicated in the app, and the cursor jumps around. The team is still investigating and working hard to restore the service.

I have created a new tag yesterday on Simpenote Windows/Electron
Today, the tag appears duplicated on
Simpenote Windows/Electron and Simplenote Android).The bug has been reported by various users in 2020, already.
