Lost all notes with phone change

Hi there,
I got a new iPhone and now that I open my app all of my notes have disappeared.
Is there any chance I can access a history or archive tied to my account? I had so many personal and meaningful notes in there.

Hi. I hope you did not delete your notes on the old phone, because that would delete them everywhere. You should have just deleted the app, and let the phone OS clean up the local files.

Where can I check for them? -
Try logging in to the Simplenote web app, app.simplenote.com, in a browser. It accesses the on-line data base directly, bypassing any sync confusion. Of course, you must use your same email and password (the web app has trouble with password changes).

I lost my phone and the email you have has been replaced with mike.mcdermottcj@gmail. It was (email visible only to moderators and staff). I put your app on my new phone. I have the same phone number 2692771157

Hello @mikemcdermottcj. I understand your concern about losing notes when changing phones. We will do all we can to help. We do not have telephone support.
Lost notes can usually be found either in the Trash or in the history of an existing note. We recommend checking the trash and revisions in whichever app you use the most, as well as the web app at https://app.simplenote.com. You’ll want to sort the notes by the last modified date from the app settings before you start checking.
It’s worth restoring notes from the Trash so you can view their history. Pay particular attention to any blank notes you can see or titles you don’t recognize.
To search the history, open a note and click the clock icon at the top, then move the slider.
Also, use the search field to check for content that may have been in the note. We don’t recommend just searching for the title, as we’ve seen people have trouble finding notes when accidentally deleting or changing the title text.

Thanks, @johnswift37. The options for @doerteinett would be the same as my reply above. I know that losing notes/content is a frustrating experience.
@doerteinett If you’re not seeing the note update on the web app at https://app.simplenote.com as well as on the app installed on your device, then the changes made to the note weren’t synched to the Simplenote servers. In that case, I’m afraid we’re not able to help you recover the lost note.
I would recommend giving the app some time to sync your changes to the servers, especially after you edited a long note. Sometimes a network glitch may disrupt the connection from your device to the Simplenote servers too. You may also want to make sure that you allow the Simplenote app to run in the background so it can access the internet to sync your note changes in the background after you close the app.
