Lost 2 yrs of data

  Have been using since long time ago but not update the app. Before the loss the version is 1.6 android.Found a note for dairy in half a year gone, and failed to check history, logged into web and found data havent been synced for a long time.I tried to log out my android app but failed to log in again, so I updated the app and logged in, but all those data had gone.Can I find those unsynced data somewhere on my android device?Why a login is not combining my old data with new ones?

  Simplenote Android 1.6 is indeed a bit old. The latest version, as of this writing, is Simplenote 2.32. If you haven’t updated the app for a while, this might be why the sync failed.

  Have you tried logging in to the web app at https://app.simplenote.com/ before recently to see if your data has ever synced? If you have, it’s possible your data can still be recovered. However, if your data hasn’t previously synced, unfortunately, that means we don’t store your notes.

  Can I find those unsynced data somewhere on my android device?

  In the Android app, the path to the database is:

  data/data/com.automattic.simplenote/simperium-store

  However, you’ll need a phone with root access to see it, which isn’t something we support. Also, we can’t guarantee you’ll find your data there, especially since you’re using an older version of the app, for which we no longer provide support.
