Infinite Circles of Loading When Notes Saving / Randomly Deleted, Added Text

I have noticed that this issue pops up every several months. I appreciate that it must be a doozy of a challenge managing a massive amount of data from thousands (millions?) of people regularly adding and modifying notes. The Server costs must be daunting…
Unfortunately, I am losing notes because they won’t save, and existing notes are being ruined because sections of them are deleted, or when I add to a note, the text is duplicated, cut up, and posted in random combinations. It’s like the software is having a fit of hysterics.
Again, I have experienced this issue quite a few times over the many years I have been using Simplenote, and your Dev team consistently smooths out the problems. I am confident you will be able to do so again.
If costs are becoming an issue, may I suggest being direct and transparent with your Community, and asking for contributions or subscriptions? Server costs are no joke.
Considering how many people use Simplenote and benefit from its simplicity and, typically, flawless facility to sync between devices, I think most people would appreciate that significant cost is likely involved and will be willing to help.

Hi David, sorry about the trouble you’re experiencing! The Simplenote server experienced performance issues around August 6, but the situation should improves now. The team is still monitoring the services and working on preventing the same issue from happening again.
