Immediatedly Logged Out After Logging In

Hello, I have been using Simplenote for years but suddenly, while trying to log in, I am immediately logged out. This is on Windows, on multiple browsers, on Incognito mode and with Simplenote cookies cleared.
I know that my password is correct because I can log in on my phone, and because when I log in on my computer with a different password I get an error message about my password.
The login begins and I can see the Simplenote app, but immediately I then see “logging out”. Anyone have experience with this? Thank you!

Hi. I guess you’re referring to the Simplenote web app in a browser.
You may be having an internet routing problem, which can differ for different providers. See if you can log in on the phone when connected to wifi; I expect it will fail the same as your computer. Also, try accessing simperium.com in a browser. simperium is the cloud service used by Simplenote. If you cannot reach it, you will not be able to access your notes.

Hi, thank you for the response. Yes, I am referring to the Simplenote web app in a browser.
I tried logging in on your phone when connected to WiFi as you recommended. The same thing happened where it logged out quickly.I also tried accessing simperium.com in a browser. I was able to reach the website just fine. I tried logging in with my simplenote credentials but the credentials didn’t work.

@rediscoveredsoundtracks Since you’re still being logged out right after logging in, the issue might be related to your network setup. A couple of things to try next:
- Connect your device to a different network, such as switching from Wi-Fi to mobile data, or try using a hotspot if available.
- Restart your Wi-Fi router or modem — this can sometimes give you a new IP address from your internet provider, which may help if it’s a routing issue.
Also, could you let us know:
- Does the same problem occur on both Wi-Fi and mobile data?
- Are you using any VPN, proxy, or security/firewall software that might interfere with login or syncing?

Thanks so much for your response. I have tried a few different network setups which have yet to work — I’ll detail below.
- I have attempted this login via mobile data, an alternate Wi-Fi network, and with/without VPN.
- I have restarted my Wi-Fi router.
- I generally attempt login without VPN. Only turned on for testing purposes.
I did recently change my account e-mail, which I am assuming may have caused an issue. However, I know my login credentials still work as I am able to successfully log in using the mobile app (and I am not logged out using the mobile app). Just not the browser.
I have tried multiple browsers, deleted cookies and cache, and have used incognito mode, none of which are successful.

This could indeed be the reason. We’ll reach out to you on your email to get further details on this.
