I lost all my notes on my android phone

I’ve been a long-time user of Simple Note and have always enjoyed its functionality, particularly the syncing feature between my Android phone and my MAC computer. However, I’ve recently encountered a distressing issue, and I am hoping someone might be able to assist me.

For the past year or perhaps even longer, I’ve noticed that my notes were not syncing between the two devices. I initially assumed the issue was on my MAC’s end, but continued using the app on both devices. Today, as I tried to export some notes for organization purposes, I realized the Android app lacked the export feature. I turned to the web version and, following its prompt, updated my password. Upon exporting the notes, I discovered that the content on the web version matches that on my MAC, but none of my Android notes were there.

In hopes of a potential solution, I updated the Simple Note app on my Android device. However, after re-logging in post-update, to my dismay, all my previous notes on the Android version were gone, replaced by the content from my MAC.

    Please help me

Hello, is there anyone available to assist me? I would greatly appreciate a response。These lost notes are of utmost importance to my work

  • Could you check Simplenote’s trash on your Android device to see if the missing notes were put there? This can occur in some instances when there are sync conflicts.

I checked the trash but didn’t find the missing notes.

Thanks for following up, @wpwpwpps. Lost notes can usually be found either in the Trash or in the history of an existing note. Were you able to check revisions in whichever app you use the most, as well as the web app at https://app.simplenote.com. You’ll want to sort the notes by the last modified date from the app settings before you start checking.

If there are notes in the Trash, it’s worth restoring notes from the Trash so you can view their history. Pay particular attention to any blank notes you can see or titles you don’t recognize.

To search the history, open a note and click the clock icon at the top, then move the slider.

Also, use the search field to check for content that may have been in the note. We don’t recommend just searching for the title, as we’ve seen people have trouble finding notes when accidentally deleting or changing the title text.
