I cannot access app.simplenote.com from the Dominican Republic without a VPN

As the title suggests – I thought the app has been down for weeks, but on a whim I attempted to access it via a VPN and it works.
I’m not exactly sure when this started, but I have used simplenote (very happily) for years without issues, from all over the world.

That is odd, I’m glad the VPN helped!
Can you let me know if the issue persists on different network connections, like WiFi and Mobile data or on different browsers, if that’s how you’re logging in?
Any other details you can share on how you’re connecting would be appreciated.

Hi. I wonder if your internet provider was blocking app.simplenote.com because they thought it was a phishing site, as described in this thread https://forums.simplenote.com/forums/topic/nord-vpn-identifies-simplenote-com-as-malicious/ . That might explain this apparently sudden change.
