How to make txt bold?

  Hello everyone!
  
  I have finally ditched Evernote for something lighter without persisting ads to purchase a premium membership and so far am happy with the exception that I can’t find how to make txt bold. I am using the windows desktop app. I have enabled markdown and I try use ** ** or _ _ but i don’t see the txt becoming bold. What am I missing?

  Hi. You do not see the effect of markdown on the edit screen. You need to view the Markdown Preview. In iOS it’s swipe left, but I don’t know what it is on desktop.

  ah, I found it, it was that eye button at the top.

  Yes, that’s correct. You need to use the Preview to see the formatted text.
