Folders function in Simplenote

Hi, I created a new WordPress account just to leave a note here to say that I love Simplenote, have been using it for years, and it’ll really be perfect if there’s the folder option where we can see the notes being classified. Tags don’t look the same as folders. 😬 Not sure where else to send in my feedback other than here, sorry! *keeping fingers crossed!*

Hi. Could you elaborate a bit on why you consider tags unsatisfactory? You can tap on any tag in the app sidebar and see a list of the notes bearing that tag. The advantage of tags is that a single note can be “in” multiple tags (categories). This has satisfied me for years.
The disadvantage of tags is that they cannot be nested. Is that what you would like to see with folders, a hierarchical structure, with folders inside folders? I believe this would be a major architectural change for this free, multiplatform app.
