Firefox page closure confirmation prompt
-
When I use Simplenote in Firefox (newest version, 119.0) and try to close the window, it sometimes asks for confirmation that I want to leave the page and says my data might not be saved (see screenshot). It does this even though everything is saved if I go by the absence of the “arrows moving in a circle” symbol that indicates that it is still saving my data. The prompt can appear long after I did anything in Simplenote. It does not appear consistently (some days I don’t get prompts at all, other days I will always get them). There are no prompts if I haven’t typed anything. I just wanted to check that I can ignore the page closure prompt and don’t have to worry about changes not being saved if I close the page. Is this just an issue of imperfect communication between Simplenote and Firefox, or is this a rare situation where Simplenote is not totally reliable?

It sounds like a glitch on the browser end might be causing this. Do you only use Firefox to write notes or do you also use the Simplenote desktop app as well? If it was both, then it could be a miscommunication between the two.
