Feature Request – Usage of Checkboxes in Preview mode

Hi guys,
I realized that you can use markdown and create a structured list (including headers, bold, italic, etc) and of course checkboxes.
But when you want that list – e.g. as groceries shopping list in the super market – you actually don’t want to edit anything anymore and you only want to see the preview mode (which makes headers look like headers and not like markdown code). And you don’t want to accidentally your keyboard to pop up on your smartphone, when you slightly miss a checkbox and simplenote thinks that you want to edit the text.
But in the preview mode you cannot check/uncheck checkboxes.
Why is that? Do I anything wrong? I would love that so much. If I could check/uncheck in the preview mode it was absolutely perfect… Actually this is the only mode that makes sense to me.

This isn’t something we support currently, but that’s an excellent suggestion! I’ll be sure to forward this along to our development team as a feature request!
