Electron vs Native MacOS App File Size

  I want to export my notes and found out that the native app doesn’t support this. But I was shocked by the extremely high file size of the Electron version

  The native Mac app is only 11MB, which is wonderful
  The electron version is 830MB, which is insane

  I have to say, more than 200MB for this app is excessive and 830MB is mind-boggling. What’s going on here?

  In any case, this is a great reason to drop the electron app and fully support the native app. Your users internal storage will thank you!

  Hi. Not sure about this discussion of implementation technologies, but. You can export your notes from the web app, app.simplenote.com, in a browser. It will download notes.zip to wherever your downloads go. So no need to fret about different Simplenote app implementations.
