Edit multiple lines of text on mac

    Hi,

On the windows version of the app I can edit multiple lines of text with shift+alt click. With that I can write on multiple lines at the same time (same text of course) but in mac I couldnt find the same functionality. I tried shift+option, shift+command, shift+control, option only, shift+option+command etc with no luck. Is there any key combination for editing multiple lines on mac? Thanks a lot.

  • Hi Mustafa,

There isn’t a way to use multi-cursor in the macOS app in the same way as on Windows.

What you can try though is to replace text in bulk. Have you tried the CMD + F to find specific text and used the Replace All options in this way before?

It’s not going to give you the same multi-cursor editing feel, but it can bulk-edit text in entries if needed.

    I hope that helps!

    Hi,

Unfortunately replace all is not an option for me. I am editing bulk unique data with multi cursor to create some links and open that urls. I hope one day multi cursor comes to macOS too. Thanks.

  • I understand! I’ll make sure to add this to our feature requests for you.

    Cheers!
