Downloading previous versions on app store

Using OS High Sierrra 10.13.6, trying to download compatible version on AppStore, but when I get to: “Download an older version of Simplenote – Notes and Memos?” and click on “Download”, the same message re-appears again and again, and no download?

You should be able to download an older compatible version of Simplenote from the App Store. If you are seeing this message you may need to reach out to Apple as they handle the downloads on their end.
Before reaching out to them, I would suggest trying to restart your device and then try downloading it again from the App Store. If you see the same issue as before then I would suggest reaching out to Apple.
